Responsibilities will include building and managing project schedules, timelines and milestones. He/she will also be responsible for maintaining and reporting project status, issues and risks.

The person in this role will be responsible for identifying risks and issues and proactively addressing them. He/she will monitor schedule deviations and assist in the development of alternative methods for corrective action at the project level.

This individual will interface with numerous internal groups and must be able to quickly form productive and positive working relationships with staff with varying technical and business backgrounds and skill levels across the organization. Requirements:

  • 5+ years project management experience
  • Prior experience working on eCommerce/web application development projects, preferably in the B2B space. Familiarity with eCommerce concepts, functionality, processes and implementations.
  • Experience working as a project manager in the eBusiness practices of major consulting firms is desirable
  • Undergraduate degree or higher in Computer Science, Business, or a related area,
  • Project Management certification from PMI or other appropriate organization desirable

Duties:

  • Residing within the Global Marketing Communications Department, the References Marketing Manager is tasked with developing customer references that support strategic initiatives for the company.
  • Specifically, the References Marketing Manager will serve as the Reference Lead for solutions from the Data Center Management Group (Storage Foundation, Cluster Server, CommandCentral Storage, CommandCentral Service, Provisioning Manager, i3, Configuration Manager).
  • Responsibilities include support for the Data Center Management Campaign.
  • The References Marketing Manager is also tasked to provide writing and editorial support for the team.
  • A primary responsibility for the References Marketing Manager is the development of customer references supporting various constituents covering both branding and revenue-generation activities.
  • The References Marketing Manager is a member of the company's Worldwide Customer Reference Program.

Job Scope/Contacts:
Reporting to the Director of the company's Customer Reference Program, the References Marketing Manager will collaborate with other members of the Customer Reference team.

  • The References Marketing Manager will also liaise with members of Product Marketing and Product Management, the Executive Briefing Center, Customer Access Program, field marketing, sales, and corporate communication (PR, AR, internal employee communications, etc.) organizations.
  • Within the parameters of the corporate customer reference business processes, she or he will build relationships with the field marketing organization, sales force, and customer base in facilitating reference submissions, content and collateral development, and approvals.
  • The References Marketing Manager will also have the charter of helping to write Web feature articles on select customer solutions for posting to the company*s website.

Key Responsibilities:
Chartered with managing end-to-end customer reference development, with a particular focus on customers from the Fortune 500 and the company's Top 500 accounts.

  • The References Marketing Manager will serve as conduit for Customer Reference Program to the Data Center Campaign and will exercise an in-depth understanding of key contacts, messaging, solution offerings, etc.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Serving as Reference Lead for the Data Center Campaign;
  • Working with the HP, Sun, Linux, and IBM alliance teams;
  • Integration support*for which s/he is Reference Lead*into PR, AR, IR, Advertising, Upload Newsletter, website activities;
  • Qualification of customer references;
  • Development or PR/Marketing Plans for each customer reference for which s/he is the Reference Lead;
  • End-to-end project management in the development of reference outputs;
  • Development of strategic relationships with account teams, partners, and customers;
  • Maintenance of customer reference records for which s/he is the Reference Lead in the Customer Reference Database; and maintenance of all Data Center Management product-related fields in the customer
  • Success Slide creation for every reference for which s/he is the Reference Lead;
  • Creation of solution summaries for each reference for which s/he is the Reference Lead used as speaker notes for Success Slides and insertion into the Customer Reference Database;
  • Qualification, content creation, and approval of customer references for quarterly earnings activities;
  • Support of PR and AR activities;
  • Communication of New Customer References via different distribution channels;
  • Writing and editing of Web feature articles on select customers for posting to website;
  • Serving as the Reference Lead from the Customer Reference team for securing references for quarterly earnings activities (responsible for managing the pr!
  • Ocess and coordinating the activities with PR lead and all members of the customer reference team); and
  • Responsible for working with the IT team to migrate results from quarterly Customer Satisfaction Survey into the Customer Reference Database. Must exercise cross-functional tactical coordination with advertising, Web, internal communications, Magazine, PR, AR, and IR teams and other customer-facing programs such as the Customer Access Program and the Executive Sponsorship Program. Skills :

  • 5+ years of experience writing and editing experience on various collateral outputs, ranging from white papers, to success stories, to Web features; excellent verbal communication skills;
  • Superb customer service skills; experience in project management involving 3+ parties;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office word processing, spreadsheet (Excel), and presentation programs (PowerPoint); experience managing vendors and contractors; solid team-building and conflict resolution skills; fast problem resolution with background in building consensus with employees, partners, vendors, and customers;
